The project has been presented at GTU innovation council. We met lot of people, talked to them about our film, shared ideas and
had some fruitful conversation to take this project up to a next level. We have
received great response from mentors.
They made us think how far we can go, and what could be the
impact on society. Similarly we worked on forecast for upcoming 2 years and
developed marketing strategy.

Fete De La Musique
Happy Fete De La Musique - World Music Day!
2:36 AMJayrajsinh Chavda 'Aazad'
Hello World! Today is Fete De La Musique - World Music Day! and I take this opportunity to introduce my musical documentary project called ‘The Connoisseur’s Journal’
‘The Connoisseur’s Journal’ is a feature length musical documentary, showcases evolution music & culture in Ahmedabad through the narrative point of view of a Connoisseur, a deep researcher of music, who candidly writes his observation in his journal. He meets artists, musicians, music lovers and every other dreamer affected by music. He talks with them to understand how music moves them and how important music is to them. This documentary could serve as reference for every music lover to acknowledge the magnificent music that Ahmedabad has to offer. Following a brief overview of the roots of music in Ahmedabad, dating back to the 1990s, the story will be told through the testimonies of those who lived through this promising era in Ahmedabad’s modern history. Weaving together moving interviews and rare archival footage (of artists' lives, performances, theatrical plays, and historic festivals), the documentary will portray, for the first time on film, the individual journeys of musicians, their legacy, and the enduring power of the music. the film will testify to the ability of music to sustain and improve our lives, as well as help us make sense of the uncertain world in which we live.
I believe that "To understand the place, you have to listen to the music it plays" it is to no one’s surprise that a lot of good music is being played in Ahmedabad, with a great variety of voices, styles, and influences from everywhere on the globe. the documentary explores Ahmedabad, their people, alternative culture and it's music of every kind you will listen to influential musicians from many different genres accompanied by mostly melancholic views of Ahmedabad's urban texture.
I have always been experimenting with sound, since the day i learned to play music and my voyage leads to the discovery of a broad spectrum ranging from rock, metal modern electronic and hip-hop to classical and folk. I have been roaming the streets of Ahmedabad with a camera and mobile recording studio to assemble an inspired portrait of music. I started this project back in 2010 as a one man crew. So far, I have shot music festivals, concerts, musical celebrations, gigs by local bands and wide range of events that has live music and performances. I went in expecting a taste of music that would satisfy my curiosity and got more than I asked for. I heard and saw a powerful, exquisite, sometimes haunting, sometimes touching, lyrical, sentimental (in the truest way) and absolutely stunning blend of music and musicians. I was shooting wild by days and nights sometimes. but the material was not enough for me, so i kept on filming different kinds of music from different corners of the city as i always wanted to capture the musical diversity of the city. Do not expect a compilation of music by various local bands or anything like that. it is a biography of a city and how music stay alive in it we can say. it is more of a journey through the music scene in modern Ahmedabad, India as well as portraying its cultural life. And the glorious city is given but a minimal chance to show off the sights and sounds that inspire so much of its music.
Wishing you all music lovers a Happy World Music Day. let's celebrate India's musical journey & achievements of Indian talent across the globe.
